“Becoming a OneSmartWorld community has had a significant impact on leadership development in our school division. The introduction of a simple common language and the understanding and celebration of diverse ways of thinking as we problem solve has let to improved collaboration and synergistic solutions to the challenges that we face.”
Jim Gibbons, Superintendent of Schools, Chinook’s Edge School Division
“The 4D-i is a quantum leap in reaching organizational potential and human relationship building. It shows you how to work smarter, not harder.”
Pat Boon-Anderson, School Principal
“The OneSmartWorld 4D-i is a remarkable tool that provides students and teachers with a common problem solving language. For years, we have been running our schools and teaching our lessons in the cool yellow analytical thinking) domain. Yet, it is clear that many of our students have strong preferences for mindsets in creative thinking and decision-making. This disconnect can be understood and remedied using the 4D-i. At Chinook’s Edge School Division No. 73, we are embarking on a project to use the 4D-i to help students and teachers communicate more effectively. In addition, we hope to empower students to answer two questions regarding career pathways: 1. Who am I? 2. Where am I going?”
Ray Hoppins, Division Principal, Chinook’s Edge School Division No. 73
“Bob Wiele’s commitment to helping our young people find success in all areas of their lives is resulting in a powerful system of tools and processes that will help teachers and students unleash their full potential. I’ve seen first hand how the immediate and meaningful insights provided through the 4D-i can inform the development of dynamic personal learning plans. The results also facilitate the best possible learning outcomes by effectively leveraging the individual and collective strengths of students and teachers. I am confident that by integrating SmartSkills 101 into your overall educational program, students will see the connection between what they are learning and the real world…and will develop that all important portfolio of skills that are essential for success in school, work and as global citizens. ‘School’ will never be the same again… and our communities will be the beneficiaries of students ready to make a difference in the world”
Kathleen O’Sullivan, National Director, EdVisions Schools
“I used the 4D-i in my Career Success class at Georgian College. The profile served two purposes. One - I used it to help the students develop awareness of other learning, thinking styles in the classroom. Two - I used it to help them align their 4D-i preference with their future careers. The students handed in a 4D-i summary as an assignment and we threaded the language throughout the course. It was very effective and the student feedback was very positive. Thank you for this awesome tool…”
“I recently used the 4D-i with the Alumni Board of directors. Initially as a team building awareness opportunity and then using track 5 as a process to brainstorm, cluster and decide on two action items for their board activities for the year. They were very pleased with the results and are going to continue using smart meetings for future meetings.”
